We’re looking for dynamic, driven and career-minded medical technologists to join our Core Lab team. These career-defining opportunities will give you exposure to innovative cases and allow you to gain valuable experience using state-of-the-art technologies available at only a handful of hospitals.
As medical technologist at UF Health Shands, you’ll be able to:
Perform simple and complex analyses on tissue, blood and body fluids using laboratory instrumentation, manual methods and procedures.
Approve the performance of tests by technicians.
Assume accountability for patient tests with high standard of quality and excellent independent judgment in the performance of standard operating procedures and utilization of complex instrumentation in varying sample environments.
We’re seeking well-rounded and driven candidates who have:
A bachelor’s degree in medical technology, or
A bachelor's degree in any field plus one year of experience working as a medical laboratory technician, or
90 semester hours of science plus the completion of an AHCA-approved training program, or
An associate’s degree plus appropriate combination of training and experience.
