The Division of Pediatric Anesthesia at Children's Hospital of Georgia, part of Augusta University and the Medical College of Georgia, seeks a Director of General Pediatric Anesthesia Services to oversee the ongoing development, growth, and oversight/authority of the Pediatric Anesthesia Program. The pediatric anesthesia care team has experienced significant growth in recent years and currently consists of 8 board-certified anesthesiologists with subspecialty training in pediatric anesthesia. Candidates must be MDs or DOs and be board-certified and fellowship trained in pediatric anesthesia.

Lead efforts to develop and maintain a pediatric anesthesia service line
Define and lead the Pediatric Section research strategy by expanding clinical, translational, and basic research
Clinical 80%/education and teaching 5%/ research 5%/ administration 10%
Join 8 board-certified anesthesiologists with subspecialty training in pediatric anesthesia (5 general and 3 cardiothoracic pediatric anesthesiologists) 2 section directors, 7 CRNAs, 1 pediatric anesthesia fellow, and up to 5 anesthesia residents
Children's Hospital of Georgia is the only facility in the region dedicated exclusively to the surgical care of children
The pediatric anesthesia division provides state-of-the-art anesthesia and perioperative care to approximately 6,500 surgical patients annually
