This position provides the VA Northern California Health Care System (VANCHCS), Medical Service with all functions specific to the Cardiology department, DME Clinic, and ABI's located at the Redding Out-Patient Clinics (OPC). The incumbent serves under the clinical direction specialty physicians and the administrative direction of the Clinical Care Coordinator. The incumbent's Cardiology role is independently performing a variety of electrocardiograph procedures and related examinations. Operates diagnostic medical equipment (EKG, Holter Monitor, etc.) as a part of treatment plan of the patient. The incumbent monitors tracings to identify abnormalities and notifies provider immediately upon observation of unexpected or serious arrhythmias or ST/Wave changes even if not life threatening. K
